With the rush of the legislative session over, state lawmakers are back in their home districts and focused on two things: in-depth policy study and connecting with constituents. This is your opportunity to get involved.
Engage with Interim Committees
What they are: During the summer, state legislative committees hold "interim" meetings. These are public hearings where state representatives and senators study complex topics assigned to them, like healthcare costs or transportation funding. They listen to experts and gather information that will shape the bills they write next session.
